As you

find a comfortable spot to do your inner work. Good.
Now, i want to speak to that part of your mind... the
deepest, most powerful part of your mind. The part of
your mind that Can and Will help you to get what you
really really want. So let’s again define what you
really want. Will you state to yourself.... I really
want to be a healthy, happy, non smoker. Good. When the
subconscious mind partners with the conscious mind, it
empowers and facilitates the achievement of your goals.
And i already know your conscious mind wants you to STOP
SMOKING NOW or you wouldn’t be listening to this
program. Your conscious mind already knows the dangers
associated with smoking cigarettes.
So I would
like to talk to the subconscious mind right now. So if
your conscious mind wants to take a mental vacation,
that’s OK. Yes, it’s time to help the entire person, all
aspects of the mind and body to hear that smoking
cigarettes costs money. Cigarettes cost $3/pack. How
many packs do you smoke a day? Multiply that by 7 and
how much do you spend a week on cigarettes? How about
multiplying that larger number by 4 and let’s see how
much you spend a month on cigarettes. Then why not
multiply that by 12. Let’s just say for fun that they
cost $3/pack and you smoke two packs a day. That’s
$42/week, $168/month and $2,016/year. Can you think of
another way you would spend that money besides on a
habit that causes cancer, emphysema, acceleration of the
aging process, increased risk of heart attack, stroke,
and destruction of vital lung tissue ? Would you rather
spend your money on something that doesn’t cause your
hair and clothes to stink ? would you rather use your
money for something that doesn’t produce thick green
phlegm or isolate you socially and cause others to look
at your with disgust and scorn? I was hoping you would
agree with me. Well the good news is that as a
non-smoker, in just moments after your last cigarette,
your blood pressure and heart rate can respond
positively, the level of carbon monoxide will decrease
and the level of vital oxygen will increase in your
blood. You will reduce your chance of heart attack and
stroke, your bronchial will relax and your lung capacity
will improve. The coughing, shortness of breath,
congestion and hacking will decrease as will death rate
from lung cancer. You will enjoy benefits as a
non-smoker and you will be so much happier as a
non-smoker. You will feel free and in control. If any
cravings arise, then you can imagine the cravings as the
confused and misguided teenager and in your imagination,
give your inner teen some advice and wisdom, let him or
her know that with a couple of easy deep breaths, any
cravings will pass like clouds in the sky. Just blow
them away with the out breath. That’s right. You are a
healthy non-smoker.
You are
feeling proud of yourself. You are interested in loving
and caring for your body. You spend time every day
exercising your body and noticing how energized you
feel. You drink lots of water and eat healthy foods
because you respect and love your body. You are your
body’s keeper. You body is like a small child and
depends on you to take care of it. You wouldn’t blow
poison like carbon monoxide in the face of baby, now
would you? You now love and care for your body by
putting healthy and nourishing foods into the body, by
exercising regularly. And you notice a feeling of
freedom. A feeling of increased relaxation and a sense
of the joy of life. You feel grateful for the experience
of life and are present to the beauty and wonder around
you. You feel fully alive, you breathe and smell and
hear and see. You are more and more determined to live
in a new fresh way every moment of every day. You have a
greater sense of calm and peace. You become interested
in other people, in ideas and hobbies. Smoking
cigarettes is a thing you used to do, you have
completely lost interest in that destructive habit. You
practice mindful breathing to cope with stress, you
exercise regularly and drink lots of fresh water. You
express your feelings and no longer engage in a “smoke
out” to hide from you feelings. This behavior has
brought you closer to others and you feel a wonderful
sense of connection and intimacy with others. You have
taken your power back. No longer do cigarettes control
you! You are no puppet for some poison. No way! You
direct and control your own choices and you choose
health. If you notice any hand to mouth urges then
simply place the middle finger in the center of the
forehead and say to your self, “i will see that I am
free”, and the breath out and enjoy the feeling of
relaxation that follows. If you happen top notice an
urge to smoke or a desire to obtain a cigarette, simply
visualize the red stop sign and think to yourself, “no!”
“STOP!” And notice the feeling of pride and
accomplishment you feel. You are a successful
non-smoker.
